Paving the Way for Innovative Solutions in Building, Transport, and Packaging

The SURPASS project, a collaborative initiative aimed at revolutionizing sustainable practices in the areas of building, transport, and packaging, celebrated a significant milestone with its first periodic review on Friday, the 9th of February 2024. The event, which brought together project partners and stakeholders, showcased the impressive progress made during the initial 18 months of the project, spanning from June 2022 to December 2023.

Led by the dedicated project coordinator and with active contributions from all partners, the review highlighted the successful execution of work packages and case studies. The presentations showcased tangible outcomes and milestones achieved, underlining the project's commitment to delivering innovative solutions in line with the outlined timelines.

" The committed and motivated SURPASS partners have carried out excellent, high-quality work! This is expected to yield high-impact results within 24 months " remarked Simon Clavaguera, the coordinator of the SURPASS project.

The three case studies, focusing on building, transport, and packaging, were particularly emphasized during the review. With high hopes and optimism expressed by both the project coordinator and the project monitor, it is evident that the SURPASS project is well on its way to shaping the future of sustainable practices in these crucial sectors.

Key achievements highlighted during the review include the successful completion of deliverables, indicating that the project is firmly on track to meet its objectives. The collaborative efforts of all partners were evident in the smooth progress and alignment with the projected timelines.

As the SURPASS project continues to push the boundaries of sustainable innovation, the positive outcome of the first periodic review serves as a testament to the collective commitment and expertise of the consortium. Moving forward, the project aims to build on this success and further contribute to a more sustainable and resilient future.
