How the plastics industry contributes to the main objectives of the new European Commission.

 

 

European Plastics Converters and PlasticsEurope are pleased to invite you to the conference “EU Investing in its future – Plastics construction solutions”, held in Brussels on 24th June 2015.

The conference will be an excellent occasion to learn in several sessions how the plastics industry contributes to the main objectives of the new European Commission such as growth, jobs, investment and energy efficiency.

A session dedicated to the building and construction sector will focus on plastics solutions in construction, challenges and opportunities for manufacturers and the main priorities for constructions SMEs and micro-enterprises.

The “Skills matter!” session moderated by Czech MEP Martina Dlabajová, winner of the 2015 MEP Awards in the category “Employment and Social affairs”, will focus on her own initiative report on the importance to match skills and qualification with demand and job opportunity as a way to recover from the crisis.

A focus will also lie on apprenticeships and education. VEKA AG will conclude the discussion by presenting its engagement and skills development for employees.

Plastics in the context of renovation and as a main solution for Energy and Resource efficiency will occupy the third session and will be followed by a case study on design and innovation presented by Ewa Kuryłowicz, General Designer, Vice-Chairman of Kuryłowicz & Associates architecture studio.

During the entire conference applications and posters showing solutions in the building and construction sector will be exhibited.
